Women for Children is a group of women from all walks of life. Mothers, daughters, grandmothers…women who have been touched in some way by a child and are inspired to be a part of something that values that precious life. All you need to do is meet one courageous patient at Doernbecher to understand why Women for Children is dedicated to provide ongoing support for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation has many different programs where committed volunteers and donors from our community and beyond, come together to raise public awareness for the hospital and generate financial resources. Friends of Doernbecher is one of those programs that consist of Chapters from across Oregon and Southwest Washington that are dedicated to the long-term support of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Women For Children is 1 of 6 chapters of Friends of Doernbecher. In the last 17 years our Chapter has donated $1.8 million dollars toward the hospital construction, supporting families who cannot afford to pay for medical services, and other areas of need ranging from equipment, to staffing fellowships and research funding.
